PU foam is a lightweight foam material often used as the core of surfboards. It offers good buoyancy, allowing the surfboard to float effectively in the water. However, PU foam is relatively fragile and can be prone to damage.
PE foam is lightweight and also provides good buoyancy. Compared to PU foam, PE foam is more durable and resistant to deformation from impacts or compression.
Polyurethane resin is typically used to cover the foam core of the surfboard, adding strength and durability. It can be reinforced with fiberglass cloth to provide structural support.
Fiberglass cloth is layered over the polyurethane resin to enhance the surfboard's strength and rigidity. It is a lightweight and strong material, commonly used to reinforce the outer shell of the surfboard.
Epoxy resin is a lighter and stronger resin compared to polyurethane resin. Using epoxy resin in surfboard construction can reduce the weight of the board while increasing its strength and durability.
Carbon fiber is an extremely lightweight and strong material. In surfboard manufacturing, carbon fiber is often used to reinforce specific areas of the board, such as the tail or the bottom, to enhance performance and responsiveness.

Core Material
